Yesterday Ollie was Confirmed, Alvin Oliver "Gerard" Bockwinkel.

I had NOTHING to do with his picking his confirmation saint!

However, Erin and I commissioned Kent Bagnall to duplicate my gold cross, and we gave that to Ollie for his confirmation. He had it blessed by the Pastor last night.

He also received a letter from the President of Rockhurst, the Jesuit High School he will be entering next year....an excerpt follows.

Ollie Spells his way to top...

Ollie won the spelling bee at St. Joseph's Catholic School today, January 31, 2007.

He plans to continue competing and hopes to go as far as he can. Congrats to Ollie.
